Storing nuts (walnuts, pecans, almonds)
November 27, 2006
Always store nuts in the refrigerator or freezer in airtight containers. Before using, bring them to room temperature. Nuts stored in the refrigerator will last up to 8 months. When stored in the freezer, they may last up to 2 years. When storing them for a long time, always taste them before using them in recipes. If they are rancid, discard them.
