Easy ground beef tacos

Ingredients
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil 60 ml vegetable oil

- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper 2.5 ml cayenne pepper
- 1/2 cup salsa 120 ml salsa

Method
In a skillet or frying pan over medium heat add the vegetable oil and heat. Add the onions and jalapeno chiles and
cook for about 10 minutes, or until the onions are soft and translucent. Add the garlic and cook for 2 minutes more. Add the ground beef, chili powder, cumin, oregano, cilantro, cayenne pepper, salsa, salt and pepper and stir well. Cook for 6 to 8 minutes, stirring frequently, until the beef is brown. Turn heat to low, cover and simmer for 15 minutes more, stirring occasionally. Uncover, add the lime juice and stir well. Remove from heat and set aside.
Heat the tacos according to directions on the package.
To assemble the tacos take a taco shell and spoon about 2 heaping tablespoons of the beef mixture in it. Top with cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and salsa and serve immediately.
