My Mother would wake up 4:30am to start her day as a housewife and Mother of nine children. She and Dad were 100% Phoenician. They would start their day with Cafe con leche. Even I would drink it before or after school with my mothers hot out-of-the-oven flat bread. My parents did it a little differently. They would use a campfire coffee pot, wait till the water boils and throw in the coffee grounds, letting it foam awhile and then strain it. Instead of sticks, they would use ground cinnamon. Whenever I drink regular coffee now, my taste buds are never satisfied. So I try to stay away from coffee all together, to avoid the addiction to cafe con leche. Love it but it can throw your "sleep clock" off.
