Spaghetti with garlic shrimp

Ingredients
- 2 tbsp olive oil 30 ml olive oil
- 1 clove garlic (finely sliced) 1 clove garlic (finely sliced)
- Chili flakes to taste Chili flakes to taste
- 2 cup fresh shrimps (shelled) 480 ml fresh shrimps (shelled)
- 2 tbsp butter 30 ml butter
- 1/3 cup dry white wine 80 ml dry white wine
- 1/4 cup finely chopped fresh parsley 60 ml finely chopped fresh parsley
- Salt and black pepper to taste Salt and black pepper to taste
- Spaghetti for 2 Spaghetti for 2
- Grated Parmesan cheese Grated Parmesan cheese
Method
Cook the spaghetti in lots of salted boiling water, al dente.
While the spaghetti is cooking, start making the sauce.
In a saucepan over medium heat add the olive oil. Add the chili flakes, if using and fry for about 1 minute. Add the garlic and shrimps and cook until the shrimps turn pink. Add the butter and white wine and bring to a heat. Lower the heat and simmere until the pasta is ready. Add the chopped parsley and toss well. Taste and adjust with salt and black pepper.
When the pasta is ready drain and pour into the saucepan, over the shrimp sauce. Toss well and serve in individual plates with freshly grated Parmesan cheese.

This dish is great with freshly made garlic bread.
