Stuffed mushrooms

Ingredients
- 16 large fresh mushrooms 16 large fresh mushrooms
- 6 oz sweet Italian sausages 170 g sweet Italian sausages
- 1 clove garlic (minced) 1 clove garlic (minced)
- 3 tbsp olive oil 44 ml olive oil
- 2 tbsp parsley (minced) 30 ml parsley (minced)
- 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese (grated) 60 ml Parmesan cheese (grated)
- 1/4 cup water 60 ml water
Method
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Remove the stems from the mushrooms and chop them finely. Saute the sausage with the garlic in 1 tablespoon of oil until lightly brown. Break up the sausage while sauteing it. Add 1 more Tbsp of olive oil, the cheese and the parsley and stir well until all ingredients are well combined. Fill the mushrooms with the mixture. Place the mushrooms in a shallow baking pan with the remaining oil and ¼ cup water and bake for 20 minutes.
Serve with freshly made garlic bread and a green salad.
