Kahlua Tiramisu

Ingredients
- 3 oz Kahlua liqueur 85 g Kahlua liqueur
- 1/2 cup strong Espresso coffee (cooled) 120 ml strong Espresso coffee (cooled)
- 1 lb Mascarpone cheese (500g) 455 g Mascarpone cheese (500g)
- 2 oz Kahlua liqueur 57 g Kahlua liqueur
- 2 eggs, yolks and whites separated 2 eggs, yolks and whites separated
- 1/3 cup icing sugar 80 ml icing sugar
- 20 ladyfingers 20 ladyfingers
- 4 oz dark chocolate (grated) 115 g dark chocolate (grated)
Method
Mix 3 ounces of Kahlua with the Espresso coffee, and set aside.
In a bowl, beat together the egg yolks, mascarpone cheese, icing sugar and 2 ounces of the Kahlua liqueur until you get a smooth mixture.
In another bowl, whip the egg whites until stiff and then fold into the cheese.
Dip half of the ladyfingers in the coffee and liqueur mixture and place them, flat side down on a serving dish. Spread half the Mascarpone mixture on top of the ladyfingers and sprinkle with half of the chocolate gratings to finish the first layer.
Repeat the above procedure with the remaining ingredients to do the second layer.
Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 6 hours before serving.
